Shawn "Cath52" Sackenheim grew up a little late for the dawn of gaming and first got into things on a hand-me-down Atari 2600 and Intellivision. He was swept up in the rise of the NES after the Great Crash and always wished he'd been born a few years earlier. Who knows, maybe he would have gotten into programming.

As it turned out he wound up at college in Pittsburgh, convinced he'd soon be an animator working on video games but his old writing bug bit me just as the internet was taking off in the late 90's. He helped found Videogamers.com and from then on he couldn't stop writing about the games he loved and reporting on the industry he loved to follow.

Since then he has written all around the internet in various capacities and after a few years of writing on his own terms (at Livejournal and GameLuv.com) He is happy to be back writing on someone else's and improving his skills.
