Daniel Shatto got the nickname, Shadow, because, in school, kids would mispronounce his last name.

"It's pronounced like the french word Chateau... or simply Shat-toe."

He started gaming with the original NES; Mario 3 was his favorite and used to be able to beat the game in under ten minutes. Except for the SNES, Daniel has owned all of Nintendo's consoles. His parents bought his a Sega Genesis that year for Christmas instead. Ironically, the SNES is his favorite console. For years he would bask in my new-found love of RPG's by going to a friend's house to play games like Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Super Mario RPG.

Daniel is Brazillian and most of his family still lives in Brazil. Since he lives in the US, the family is Brazil views them as having more wealth. Because of this, growing up, he would give his old console's to my cousins whenever he got a new one. He currently owns a PS3, 360, and a DS (sadly, his PSP was pilfered and the police have no leads). While he still love the games Nintendo makes, the sheer number produced makes it difficult to keep up and "my wedding was expensive."

"Did I mention I'm married? I love my wife. She's not really into games, but she beat Plants vs Zombies so she's okay."

Daniel has recently found a new love in comics and regrets not discovering them sooner. He now has Captain America's shield tattooed on his right elbow and plans to get more.

"Comics and me - perfect fit."

Daniel's next goal is to get 1000/1000 achievement score on a single game or a platinum trophy one day. The problem? He has been self-diagnosed with gaming A.D.D.
