Warning: Some pictures below are definitely NSFW! I don't exactly know how to classify this. You see, I am not sure whether this is fandom at its worst, morbid curiosity going a bit too far, a little of both, or maybe just plain sick. OK, maybe not exactly sick — perhaps just further than I am able to understand. Yeah, that sounds right; I just don't understand this. I won't judge it since I have done some questionable things in the name of fandom as well; I just don't think I will ever understand. I know some fans just want to feel close to what they are really fanatic about. I mean, that is what being a fan is all about. I also know some fans are always willing to do more about their passions than others. If that means crossing a line many others are unable to cross, they will gladly do so. Then again, since I don't know the mentality behind this either, I have to realize some people are into this just because they are looking for something different — a different way to push the envelope, if you will. Perhaps it really is just morbid curiosity at its limit — and when you see what I am talking about, the word "morbid" will definitely make sense. To get to the point I am trying to make, earlier this week, through a friend of mine at www.Geekologie.com, I was made aware of a certain product that really is just for those who either really want it or are really curious about it. What is this product? Well, zombie-stylized dildos, of course. That's right, take a good long look at those, and take in what you are seeing. Those are dildos made in the style of what a zombified penis would look like. And my friends, we all know there is only one reason anyone would buy a dildo. Now, for my personal taste, I don't know if I would ever be comfortable using something like that on myself or someone I was intimate with. In fact, most of the people I have shown them to wouldn't feel comfortable with them either. Some of my friends couldn't even stand the thought of them much less the fact they actually exist. These dildos really are made for a unique and niche market. I am about as big a horror fan as you can find, and I am especially of fan of the zombie genre of horror movies. However, I just cannot see myself ever being a big enough fan to try something like these. In fact, I am not a big enough fan to see myself using a sexual toy of any sort that might be fashioned in the likeness of something I am a fan of. Well, with the exception of costumes, but the costume itself isn't being inserted anywhere; it is just for the visual excitement of the mood. I know there are some sexual toys out there definitely modeled after certain popular properties made to cash in on them. Biggest point I can reference is the "nfamous" Hello Kitty vibrators. You see it there for yourselves; they do exist, and from what I have gathered, they are big sellers the world over. Do you understand just how many people would have to have bought these items to make them a big seller? How many men and women are actually using this item? There are far more items of this sort out there for people and fans to buy and use. I don't know how many of you reading this are familiar with the visual novel series known as Bible Black. It has a pretty large and very dedicated fan base; so much so that these fans have let their personal and professional lives become affected by their fanaticism with this game. With that in mind, there are several "fun" holes, blow-up sex dolls, and other toys fashioned to resemble their favorite Bible Black characters.
Not to be outdone, Twilight fans, or Twi-tards as I like to call them, have several questionable items for their pleasure available on the market. Oh yeah, you are not imaging those. Edward Cullen female panties with Edward's mouth emblazoned on the interior insert for her imagination to run wild with. The Twilight-inspired condom for those vampire couples who just have to protect themselves with a little extra bite. And the Suck-You Dry flesh-light for those male Twi-tard fans who would just love to imagine Ashley Greene while they use this for a little extra relaxation. Yep, as if Twilight fans weren't creepy enough to me, they just had to have those items available to them. That is just a small tip of the type of sexual toys out there influenced by pop-culture movies, comic books, and anime. Everything from Neon Genesis Evangelion to Superman to the WWE have had items made that would satisfy the needs or curiosity of their fans. Many of these items are made without license, but with some fans wanting to get a hold of something like this from what they like and the sheer volume of items out there, it is hard for some companies to shut down shops like this. As for the fans, I believe as long as they can have what they are looking for and someone is providing it, they have no reason to complain.
