Comic Books for $1
It seems that lately, comic book publishers have been aggressively trying to tap into a new wave of readers for their products. Recently, it has been announced that Marvel Comics and Image Comics will begin their own $1 comic book campaigns that will begin in the month of March and last the month of February.
For Image, beginning in March and lasting 5 weeks, in their effort to introduce new readers to 10 very popular and established ongoing series, Image Comics is set to resell the first issue of those titles for the $1 price tag. Each of the 32 page reprinted first issues will be done so in the original books entirety. The 10 books that will have their debut issues reprinted will be:

As for Marvel, starting in March and lasting through April, they will begin their $1 initiative known as “Marvel’s Greatest Comics.” With this, Marvel will be reprinting popular books at what they describe as opportune jumping on points during some of their recent hit comics. Reprinting each of those comics in their entirety, they are:
