Anime Expo Updates Guest and Events Lists

Anime Expo 2010 is less than one month away, and more and more special guests of honor are being announced with each passing week. With an already jam-packed weekend announced (see Anime Expo 2010 Is Just Around the Corner), AX has added the following guests and events, sure to please anime fans attending from around the world.

Rie Hiroe: This well-known and respected manga creator is the sole mind behind the manga series BLACK LAGOON. Since its first publication in 2002, the series has gone on to sell more than 4.5 million copies in Japan alone and has been successfully translated into a hit anime series. In fact ...

BLACK LAGOON: Roberta's Blood Trail, the highly anticipated third series in the BLACK LAGOON anime series is set to make its world premiere at AX on July 1, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. Following the continued adventures of Rock, Revy, Benny, and Dutch, this third series looks to be just as amazing as the first two BLACK LAGOON anime series.  

Megumi Nakajima: Best known for her role as Ranka Lee in Macross Frontier, Nakajima also provided the theme song for the popular series as well as contributing several other songs featured on the series' OST. She will be performing live at AX at the Nokia Theater on Friday, July 2, 2010, along with ...

May'n: May'n was chosen to be the singing voice for Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier. Since landing the role, she has released several hit songs as her character as well as providing the theme songs for the anime Shangri-La and Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi. Together, May'n and Nakajima will perform live July 2, 2010, at the Nokia Theater and will also attend many panels and events at AX.

Yui Horie: A well-renowned seiyuu in Japan, Horie has been an integral part of anime since her debut. She has provided voices for iconic characters, such as Naru Narusegawa from Love Hina, Toru Honda from Fruits Baskets, Makie Sasaki from Negima!, and many others, as well as proving theme songs for Love Hina Again, Otoboku, and Toradora! She will be appearing with fellow Toradora! seiyuu ...

Eri Kitamura: A respected seiyuu who first gained prominence when she took on the role of Saya Otonashi from Blood+, Kitamura has also provided the voices for Alleyne from Queen's Blade and Natsuki Kasuga from Ga-Rei-Zero and several other anime titles. Together with Horie, Kitamura will be attending panels, meeting and greeting fans, and providing several autograph sessions along with promoting the North American release of Toradora!

With these exciting new additions to Anime Expo 2010, the event is promising to provide a fun and interactive experience for all fans attending.
