World of Warcraft Brings Joy in Patch 4.3

Today, Blizzard has finally decided to announce Patch 4.3 for World of Warcraft, and with it comes joy for long time inhabitants of Azeroth.

A week or so ago Blizzard leaked a photo of an Ethereal (space mummy) standing next to two items. One was a Void Storage. It isn't clear as to what this is, but souces say it will be a new bank specific for holding old gear. Why would you need a whole new bank just for gear you ask? Well that's because with Patch 4.3 players will also be able to use the other item in the leaked photo; a Transmogrifier. This will allow players to do what they've been asking to do for years. Now you can change the look of your armor. This is a big deal, really!

WoW Patch 4.3

"This means that you can raid in your paladin tier 12 Immolation set, but look like you’re wearing Lightbringer, while priests can bring Benediction back -- at least in spirit. Hunters can once again roam the jungles of Stranglethorn Vale in their tier 2 Dragonstalker set. You could even slip into the saucy tailored Black Mageweave set for that matter. You know, with the thigh highs, and the little gloves, and the cute little… ahem."  -Blizzard.com

There are some obvious rules to using the Transmogrifier. Each use will cost an unspecified amount of gold, you cannot change armor to different armor types, you must own the armor you'd want your current armor to change into, and you cannot change weapons into legendary weapons. The only exception to these rules are for Hunters. They can change their bows into guns or crossbows etc. This means you cannot run around as a Warrior with Mage armor on. This is more for nostalgia than anything else. Now Azeroth will be filled with variety and not have your major city stuffed with look-a-likes.

Wow Patch 4.3

Also coming in Patch 4.3 were mentions of new 5-man instances as well as a new raid that will lead up to an encounter with Deathwing.

The only thing Blizzard commented on was the Transmogification process, but you can count on the rest of Patch 4.3's goddies to spill out soon enough.
