So you love Gears of War, right? Are you dying to get your hands on Gears of War 3? Well, while you wait, how would you like the opportunity to help decide the fate of the oldest brother in the Carmine family? On July 29, the choice is yours: Decide whether the eldest brother, Clayton Carmine, lives or dies in GOW3. Here's how it works. On Thursday, July 29, two new avatar shirts will be available for download: a black shirt with white lettering that reads “SAVE CARMINE” or a red shirt with black text proclaiming “CARMINE MUST DIE.”

What's really cool about this is that all proceeds go to the Child's Play Charity, which is a games industry organization. Child's Play donates games and toys to children's hospitals throughout the United States, so you can feel good about spending a few Microsoft Points on some new Gears' gear for your virtual self.

Personally, I feel like the Carmine family has seen enough death, with both Anthony and Benjamin being killed in the line of duty. So, come Thursday, I will be casting my vote to save Carmine. Who’s with me?!
