by nightminx on 12.05.10 ![]() Have you ever watched Glee and thought to yourself, "I can sing better than that!" or "Wow, I know these songs; I wish I could sing these!"? Well, ask no more — Konami has released Karaoke Revolution: Glee for all you Gleeks out there. I am a big fan of the show, so when I saw they had a karaoke game of it, I was just super excited to get my hands on it. Who wouldn't be, right?
First, I have to say this game was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I tried it on Scrapbook mode, and I thought it was cool, because you select what character you want, anyone from Rachel to Quinn. Pretty cool, but some downsides include certain characters only have two songs, while the popular ones like Rachel had 14. It's understandable but still kind of a downer. Another thing I wasn't to thrilled about in Scrapbook mode was since multiple characters sing the same song, you have to sing them more than once to unlock their achievements. Also another part that wasn't to great was the gameplay itself seemed harder than other Karaoke Revolution games I've played in the past. I mean, I like a challenge and don't want to win to easily, but give me a break and let me work up to the hard part instead of starting me right off.
Shooting Star mode was more of the party part of the game — you can have up to six players, and while one person is singing, the other can shoot stars on the screen for extra points. It also has solo and duets. I think I liked this part the best since it's more of a party game. I like to go against my friends more than playing solo, so that part was a perfect fit for me. Another awesome part of this game is the new footage they have in the game so you get to see different scenes than what were on the show. Awesome, right? Shooting Star mode was pretty easy and more of a kickback part of the game that will definitely be apart of any gatherings I have at my place. I just love how it keeps everyone involved even if they aren't the ones singing. Sometimes that's what you need to keep everyone interested. I know when I've played other karaoke games, it was great making fun of the person singing while I waited for my turn, but I was also impatient waiting. With Shooting Star, I can get extra points for whoever is singing by shooting stars on the screen, and later for my turn, they can help me out!
