by Zach Starr on 05.08.10 ![]() Are your fingers tired yet? With all the recent releases from Tapulous, I'd be amazed if they weren't. Well, if you're done playing Justin Bieber Revenge and also finished gushing about how adorable he is in the chat rooms (I know you aren't), you might want to check out Tap Tap Revenge: Kings of Leon. The Kings picked up the Grammy for Record of the Year for 2010, so that means we're in for some good music, right?
If you've played Tap Tap in the past, you know the formula. Press the corresponding hit zones along with the beat while occasionally shaking your device left, right, or forward. It's simple, it's fun, and it works. Music is, of course, very subjective, so the truth about Tap Tap is the gameplay is good, but what makes it worth the purchase is the music. If you don't like the artist, there is really no need to spend your hard-earned money. This Kings of Leon edition features Career and Battle modes. There is also a chat room to presumably chat about the band. After playing through seven or so tracks, you can play in a boss battle of sorts, in which you tilt the iPhone to landscape mode and play with four hit zones instead of three. This is a cool feature that helps break up any monotony and keep players on their toes.
All in all, this is a pretty solid edition of Tap Tap. The music, although not my favorite, is decent. Also, the graphical presentation is appealing. It would be great to get a Red Hot Chili Peppers or 311 edition in the near future. If you like Kings of Leon, your fingers will enjoy tapping to these beats.
